Thank you so much for supporting this
year’s North Schuylkill
Fun Run! The program was a huge success, and everyone had
so much fun! There’s just one more thing left to do.
Your help is needed in collecting ALL our pledges. As a class, we raised $1564.25 - our goal is to collect 100% of all pledges by 01/30/2019.

**For
Reading we will begin Unit 4: Let’s Go Exploring. The first story is Rooster’s Off to See the World by Eric Carle. It is an animal fantasy and we will be
reviewing the comprehension skill, sequence. We will work with initial /h/ sound for the
letter Hh. Review high frequency sight
words daily!
**In
Math we will finish up with Unit 3- Comparing and Ordering Numbers 0-20.
Review daily practice pages and continue to count by 1s, 5s, and 10s to 100 and
write numbers to 20.
**Hip, Hip, Hooray! Our 100th day
is just several school days away!!! On Thursday, January 31st
students are asked to dress as if they were 100 years old! (**Please note that if school is cancelled,
the 100th day will be moved to the next school day.)
**February
is National Children’s Dental Health Month.
Please encourage your child to brush his/her teeth at least twice a day
and to practice good dental health habits.
**Look for the special “teeth brushing chart” and dental health note to
be enclosed in your child’s folder early in the week. (Start coloring the chart on Friday 2/1/19)
**February
recording sheets for our AR “Book Buddy” bags will be sent home on Wednesday,
1/30. The goal for the month is 15+
books. January Book Buddy recording sheets will be due on Thursday, 1/31
and January Pizza Hut reward coupons will
be enclosed in your child’s folder on Friday, 2/1.
**February Scholastic book orders will be due
on Wednesday, February 6th for anyone interested in ordering.
**On
Thursday, February 14th
we will be having our Valentine’s party
from 1:30-3:00. Valentines will be
“delivered” the day of the party, so be sure to bring them to school before
then! (**A Valentine list and note will
come home later in the week) **PARENT HELPERS WILL BE CONTACTED SOON WITH
DETAILS!
Monday January 28th
will be Day 1 – Computers. **Be
sure to wear (or bring-if you’re dressing for the 100th day)
sneakers on Thursday, 1/31.
