Kindergarten News
--In Phonics we will be learning the combinations ar, or, and er as in star, horse, and butter. Please continue to review all digraphs, combinations, and letters learned. NO Show & Tell.
--For Reading we will read the remaining stories for Unit 5; On The Move! by Donna Latham, and informational text and This Is the Way We Go to School! By Edith Baer a fiction story. We will review the comprehension skills main idea and drawing conclusions. Watch for your new Family Times’ newsletters!
--Thank you to ALL the PTO and the parents who helped with the Carnival this past Monday. It was a FUN time for all!!!
--We hope everyone enjoyed our Kindergarten Graduation. We are all so proud of the graduating class. The ceremony was the perfect ending to our Kindergarten school year at NSE. Thanks to all who attended!
--There will be NO SCHOOL on Monday, May 31st due to the Memorial Day holiday. School will reopen on Tuesday, June 1st and will end on Monday, June 7th w/ an early dismissal.
**Reminder: All library books that are overdue or lost must be returned or paid for by the last day of school. Students with outstanding library books will not receive their report cards. Report cards, Kindergarten diplomas, and ordered graduation DVDs will be given to your child on the last day of school, June 7th. (Anyone not in school will be considered absent and report cards will be in the office for parents to come and pick up.)
