- This week we will be learning the letter Qq as in quilt. The girls will finally get to be Queens for a Day on Wednesday, April 7th! We will learn about combination “qu” too. The boys and girls will even be invited to participate in a special wedding ceremony for Q and U! (Details will be sent home on Monday.)
- For Show and Tell we will try something a little different, we will try an “Easter egg” show and tell. Please use the plastic egg sent home with your child, and follow your class schedule! See ½ sheet of paper in your folder.
- For Reading we will finish the story, One Little Mouse and begin the classic traditional tale Goldilocks and the Three Bears as retold by Valeri Gorbachev. We will review the comprehension skill, character and the letter sound /g/. Watch for your new Family Times newsletter!
- In Math, we will be continuing Chapter 10: Data, Graphing, and Probability. Boys and girls need to keep identifying the coins; penny, nickel, and dime, and know each coin’s value, and to be able to tell time to the hour. Also, keep practicing counting to 100.
- The 4th marking period will begin on Monday, 4/5/10. Report cards for the 3rd marking period will be sent home on Friday, April 9th. Parents are asked to sign and return the report cards as soon as possible. - Monday, April 5th will be Day 4 of the special classes’ schedule. **Students will need library books for exchange on Wednesday, April 7th—Day 6 & gym attire and sneakers on Friday, April 8th-Day 2.

Kindergarten Graduation Picture Day:
**Tuesday, April 20th - Be sure to have money and portrait package envelope the morning of pictures. Cash or money orders only!!! All students will be photographed for the class photo and will need a white collared shirt.
Please note that not all of Kindergarten will be photographed on the 20th, some have pictures on the next day, 4/21/10.
Field Trip to Lake Tobias:
**Tuesday, May 11th (Rain date Tuesday, May 18th ) – Potts and Bernosky’s classes only.
Please note that not all of Kindergarten will go on the field trip on the same day.
Kindergarten Graduation:
**Tuesday, May 25th -- beginning promptly at 6:30pm at the High School Auditorium for all Kindergarten classes.
