Kindergarten News

**This coming week we will be learning the consonant letter Nn as in nest, nut, and November. In honor of letter Nn, our school nurse may be a Kindergarten guest! Please continue to review all the letters we have learned so far. Show and Tell will follow the schedule.

**We will continue to Kid Write new stories this week and pick some students for the “author’s chair”!

**In Reading we will finish the Unit 1 test and take a look at our first story Life in an Ocean, in Unit 2: Animals Live Here. Watch for your new Family Times newsletter!

**In Math we will be testing Chapter 3: Numbers 0-

5. Please review the concepts of MORE, FEWER, and EQUAL and practice counting objects with sets of 0-5 with your child at home. Students should also be able to correctly write the numerals 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5. Our next chapter will be Chapter 4: Numbers 6-10.

** Report cards will be distributed on Friday, November 6th. Please be sure to check your child’s folder!

**Just to let you know, Parent Conferences will be scheduled for Tuesday, November 10th and Thursday, November 12th. Notes with further details regarding conferences are being sent home in your child’s folder.

**Thank you to all the classroom helpers who helped with the Halloween party and parade. It was a Boo-tiful time for all! Have a safe and Happy Halloween this weekend!
