Hi Everyone!
I hope you and your families are all well! I miss everyone! I am very proud of how you are working to keep your Math skills sharp over these past several weeks! Remember to set aside time everyday to work on school assignments for all of your classes. You may want to work on one subject a day.
**Also, when working in Google Classroom remember to click the TURN IN button once you have completed each assignment. Once your assignment has been checked, please take the time to read the comments and if requested make corrections and turn in the assignment again.
This week we will be working on multiplying fractions by fractions and fractions by mixed numbers. Remember to always place your fraction answers in simplest form.
Complete the following assignments in the order that they appear in the following list. The daily review worksheet 117 and the two independent practice activities are due by Friday, May 1.
1--Complete daily review worksheet 117.
2--View Mrs. Potts' teaching video 3 or the attached Study Guide. How do I multiply a fraction by a fraction? Simplifying fractions is also reviewed in this video.
3--Complete the practice worksheet on multiplying fractions by fractions.
4--View Mrs. Potts' teaching video 4 or the attached Study Guide. How do I multiply a fraction by a mixed number?
5--Complete worksheet 21 on multiplying a fraction by a mixed number.
6--Reinforcement activities for both of these skills are also posted for extra practice and help in Google Classroom.
7--Complete the the extension activity on combining the multiplication of fractions with the addition and subtraction of fractions. This is an optional assignment.
