Kindergarten News

School will be closed on Monday, May 27^th for Memorial Day.  Tuesday, May 28^th school reopens and is Kindergarten Graduation.

**Due to Graduation on Tuesday, May 28^th, boys and girls will NOT need to bring backpacks or folders to school that day ONLY.  All students will be signed out after the ceremony at the HIGH SCHOOL and will leave from there.  Folders and backpacks SHOULD come to school ALL other days including the last day, June 4^th.

**ALL LIBRARY BOOKS and MRS. POTTS’ BOOK BUDDY BOOKS NEED TO BE RETURNED ASAP.  The library is now closed.  **Any library books not returned must be paid for before the last day of school or report cards may be held.

                  On Wednesday May 29^th librarians from the Ringtown, Ashland, and Frackville Public Libraries will visit to read a story to the Kindergarten students.  They also will discuss information about their summer programs.  Take some time to discuss their visit with your child and check out the summer programs at the town libraries!

 Tuesday, May 28^th is the big day!  Kindergarten Graduation will be held in the High School Auditorium beginning at 1:00pm.   Doors will open at 12:45. The ceremony will begin promptly at 1:00 PM, so be sure not to be late and allow time for parking!  **Tickets and more detailed information were sent on-- Friday, May 24^th in your child’s folder.

**Remember students will be wearing caps and gowns and are asked to wear a WHITE-COLLARED shirt for the afternoon performance, however it is your choice how your child is dressed.  Shoes will be visible so plan accordingly.  Girls should not wear hair accessories that will get in the way of the cap. 

PLEASE NOTE:  Graduation caps, gowns, and TASSELS must be returned to the teacher after the graduation ceremony when signing out your child.  Tassels are NOT to be taken home.

            Friday, May 31^st will be the PTO Carnival/Fun Day. This is a day of fun and games put together by the PTO.  Please dress your child for the weather and apply sunscreen as needed.  Students should wear sneakers and clothing for outdoor activities.  (No dresses or skirts please—gym attire preferred!)

Wednesday, May 29^th will be Day6-Computers.  Students will need sneakers and gym attire for CARNIVAL/FUN DAY on Friday, May 31^st.  **Please note that students will NOT have Music class on Tuesday due to Graduation!!
