Kindergarten
News
**All library
books need to be returned ASAP. The library is now closed for borrowing new
books.
For Reading we will continue
Unit 6 with the story Building Beavers. We will discuss Main
Idea and review the short vowels, focusing
on short /e/.
For
Math we will finish with Topic 13, Sorting,
Classifying, Counting, and Categorizing Data. Students will tell how things are different, how they are
alike, and to sort things into different groups. Take some time and review the daily pages.
**THERE
WILL BE NO HOMEWORK for the rest of the school year, but please keep checking
your child’s folder daily.
Our Accelerated Reader “Book Buddy” program
will END soon. May recording sheets will be collected Thursday 5/18. Thank you
to all the families who faithfully participated!!
Kindergarten will practice
for graduation on Friday 5/19 (afternoon), Monday 5/22 (morning), and possibly,
Tuesday 5/23 (morning) at the HS auditorium.
**Please try to have your child at
school for these practices so he/she will know what to do for the ceremony on
Tuesday 5/23 @ 1:00. Students may
be walking to the HS so please dress your child in shoes for walking.
Anyone who has not completed and returned the form
for Kindergarten Graduation stating whether or not your child will be leaving
or returning after the ceremony, please do so by Monday, May 15th. Also, if leaving, please list pick-up person(s), so a
sign-out form can be prepared.

Monday, May 15th is Day 7 – Library class. Students
will need sneakers and gym attire on Wednesday, May 17th.
