Kindergarten News
There will be NO SCHOOL on
Monday, May 29th due to the Memorial Day holiday. School
will reopen on Tuesday, May 30th.
Friday, May
26th will be the PTO Carnival. This is a day of fun and games put
together by the PTO. Please dress
your child for the weather and apply sunscreen as needed. Students should wear socks (NEEDED for Bounce houses), sneakers
and clothing for outdoor activities (NO dresses or skirts please—dress code approved gym attire
preferred!) PTO volunteers attending are asked to park
in the lower level of the high school parking lot.
The teachers hope
everyone enjoyed our Kindergarten Graduation. We are all so proud of the graduating class. The ceremony was the perfect ending to
our Kindergarten school year at NSE.
Thanks to all who attended!
On
Tuesday, May 30th librarians from the Ringtown, Ashland, and
Frackville Public Libraries will visit to read a story to the Kindergarten
students. They also will discuss
information about their summer programs.
Take some time to discuss their visit with your child and check out the
summer programs at the town libraries!
AR/Book
Buddy awards will be given out on May 30th. Students who completed/reached the goal
of 15+ books for each month will receive a reward. Prizes will be
given to the top readers in each homeroom and the top girl and boy in all of
Kindergarten.
Wednesday,
May 31st will be the last day of school. Students will receive report cards and diplomas on the last
day. **All library books will need to be returned or paid for by 5/31 and
all lunch accounts are to be balanced by 5/26.
Students are to continue to bring their
folders and backpacks daily -- including the last day of school. Be sure to check backpacks and folders
often and empty as needed.
**Tuesday, May 30th will be Day 1- Computers,
and Wednesday, May 31st will be Day 2- Library.
