News
**For
Reading we will continue with the story Rooster’s
Off to See the World by Eric Carle.
It is an animal fantasy and we will be reviewing the comprehension
skill, sequence. We will review the initial /h/ sound
for the letter Hh. Review high
frequency sight words daily!
**In
Math we will continue with Topic 7: Understanding Addition. Students
will learn to join two groups and tell how many there are altogether. They will learn how to use the plus
sign and the equal sign and learn about addition sentences. Please review daily workmats/lessons.
**If you haven’t already returned your child’s activities’ yearbook
picture form, please do so as soon as possible. PTO will be taking group pictures and class photos for the yearbook in
the AM on Tuesday, February 9th.

Orders and Money are due by Thursday, Feb. 11th. Make checks payable to North Schuylkill Elem. PTO.
**On
Thursday, February 11th
we will be having our Valentine’s party
from 1:30-3:00. Valentines will
be “delivered” the day of the party, so be sure to bring them to school before 2/11!
(Approved parent helpers are to report to the office by 1:30.)
**There will be NO SCHOOL for students on Friday, February 12th due
to a scheduled ACT 80 day, and Monday,
February 15th—Presidents’ Day.
**Toothbrush
charts will be due back at the start of March. Any student who returns his/her chart will receive a “dental
health” treat from Mrs. Potts.
Remember to continue to eat healthy foods, brush and floss your teeth,
and visit a dentist at least once a year to keep your smile looking great!

will be Day 9 – Gym. Boys and girls will need sneakers and gym

if school is cancelled due to inclement weather the special class schedule is
