Kindergarten
News
This week in Phonics we will be learning the
letter Rr and its sound as in rabbit
and reindeer. This is our 13th
letter so we will be half way through the alphabet! Start looking for your Show
& Tell! Word List 6 Test will be on Thursday
12/12 or Friday 12/13. Please
practice daily!
In
Math we will continue to count, read, and write numbers to 20. Review the daily practice pages with
your child!
We
will be reading the story Little Panda by Joanne Ryder. This is an informational text, and we
will be talking about “Animals Grow and Change”. The comprehension skill we will target is compare and contrast and we will work
with the letter sounds of /n/ and /b/.
Watch for the new Family Times
newsletter in your child’s folder!
Practice high frequency sight
words—especially the newly added cards!
