For Math we will begin Topic 3: Six to Ten. Students will learn how to read, write,
and count numbers from 6-10. They
will learn how to show 6 and other numbers in different ways. Be sure to review the daily practice
pages that your child brings home in his/her folder!
October 6-12 is Fire Prevention Week so please take
some time at home to discuss fire safety with your child and family. FYI: There will be a Fire Prevention Program at the Wilburton Hose
Co. on Wednesday, October 9th @ 7:00 pm. All ages are welcome to attend!
October Scholastic book orders will be due on Tuesday,

We are beginning our writing program called Kid
Writing. Several times a week we
will break into “centers” and students will work in small groups working on
different activities while the teacher helps students write and illustrate
their own stories. When our Kid
Writing “books” are filled they will be sent home for you to keep. Hopefully
we will have a couple of samples for viewing at Parent Conferences on Monday, November 18th.
