·      In Phonics we will be working on the vowel letter Uu and the sounds of /u/ as in umbrella and unicorn.  We will focus on the short vowel sound like up, under, and uncle.  Please continue to review all letters learned and blending 2, 3, and 4 letter words.  We will NOT have Show and Tell; instead we will be doing reports on some states of the United States.  Students will be showing and telling some information about an assigned state as part of an oral report and research project! (Information was sent home on Wed., Jan. 2nd.)  **Practice Word List 10 daily.  It will be tested on Friday, January 11th.
