We will be starting the book Hide
Clyde! for Reading. It
will be about a chameleon that changes so he can hide, or camouflage
himself. We will introduce the
comprehension skill, main idea. We will review the short /o/ sound in
words and continue to work with the high frequency words; they, of, and you. Watch for your new Family Times news!

In Math we will be comparing sets of objects and comparing numbers
through 6, weighing objects using nonstandard units and ordering objects by
weight, combining sets by counting on and using numbers to describe how many

practice pages!
·
Since we are soon half way through Kindergarten, the teachers are
asking that each student practice tying his/her shoes. This is a skill that we would like to
see your child master before first grade.
Remember, Practice Makes Perfect!
